I should read that book.
I should exercise more… (yes, I’m guilty of that one too)
I should take more time for myself.
I should finally get organized.
I should stop putting things off.
We all say it.
And most of the time, we don’t do it. We just keep thinking about it.
We push it aside because something else feels more important, and life gets in the way.
Before you know it, time goes by.
And then suddenly you need it right now.
That’s when it becomes stressful.
I honestly hate that feeling. It makes me anxious.
That last-minute pressure where you wonder why you didn’t just take care of it earlier.
And it’s not just personal stuff. We do this in business all the time too.
“I should update my headshot.”
“I should get new branding images.”
I hear this all the time, and I get it.
But I always wonder why having your portrait taken feels like something to avoid instead of something to look forward to.
What’s going through your mind?
Most people walk in feeling exactly like that.
They relax, they laugh, and they stop overthinking it.
And suddenly it’s not a big deal anymore.
That shift is the part I love, because they realize they didn't need to worry about it.
We see so much out there every day that it starts to mess with how we see ourselves.
It creates this pressure that everyone else looks better, has it together, and is more “ready.”
But that’s not real.
What actually connects with people isn’t perfection. It’s the moment when you stop trying so hard.
That’s what people respond to.
A headshot or branding session isn’t just something to check off a list.
It’s how you show up before you even say a word.
And when it actually feels like you, it works.
Maybe it’s just something you’ve been putting off longer than you needed to.
So if updating your headshot or doing branding images has been sitting there for a while…
you already know.
You don’t have to be ready.
You just have to stop putting it off.
And when you do, I’m here.
